The new Tim Allen comedy show Shifting Gears will feature a 2 Broke Girls reunion for Kat Dennings. Set to debut on ABC, Shifting Gears follows the stubborn Matt (Allen), the widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matt’s estranged daughter, Riley (Dennings), and her teenage kids move into his house, the real restoration begins.

Deadline reports that Michelle Nader, who worked with Dennings on 2 Broke Girls and Dollface, is the new showrunner of Shifting Gears. As the upcoming sitcom is set to begin production in November, Nader takes over as showrunner following the exits of Mike Scully and Julie Thacker Scully. They had been the writers and executive producers on the Shifting Gears pilot.
