Regarding cancelations, the 9-1-1 franchise already has bad luck in that department. 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star have both been canceled by Fox for being too expensive to film. That is why ABC picked up 9-1-1 for season 7 and why 9-1-1: Lone Star season 5 will be the last season for the spinoff. To set the next 9-1-1 spinoff in Hawai’i is playing with fire given the history that the franchise has with spinoffs that failed to thrive.
