Alien: Romulus has already passed a major milestone at the global box office. The Alien: Romulus release is off to a solid start, earning a domestic opening weekend of $41.5 million, marking the second-best debut of the franchise behind Prometheus‘ $51 million in 2012.

Per Deadline, as of Sunday morning, the global box office opening weekend for Alien: Romulus is projected to be a total of $108.2 million. This means that the movie is the 23rd movie release to cross the $100 million milestone in 2024, and it has been able to do so in just three days. Additionally, crossing this milestone means that it has already made back its $80 million budget, though it still likely has a way to go in order to hit its break-even point, which may be somewhere in the $160 to $200 million range.
