Career
Vijay began acting as a child artist, debuting in a small role in the 1985 film Chalisuva Modagalu, starring his uncle Rajkumar. As a child actor, he appeared in several other films, including Parashuram and Aralida Hoovugalu.
Vijay‘s breakthrough came in 1993 with the success of the children’s film Chinnari Mutha, for which he won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Child Actor.
He continued to garner acclaim for his performances as a child artist, winning the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role in the 1994-95 film Kotreshi Kanasu.
After a brief hiatus to focus on his studies, Vijay made his adult acting debut in the 2002 blockbuster Ninagagi, which was a remake of the Telugu hit Nuvve Kavali.
