Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Cast & Character Guide

Here is everything you need to know about the cast and characters featured in Star Wars’ upcoming Disney+ show, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. The show will perfectly slot in with other recent Star Wars TV shows, as it takes place in the New Republic Era, much like The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. While Skeleton Crew‘s exact placement on the Star Wars timeline hasn’t been revealed, there are clues that it takes place after The Mandalorian season 3.

Skeleton Crew‘s executive producers include Jon Watts, the director of the three MCU Spider-Man movies. The story will predominantly follow a group of small children on their journey across the galaxy as they are essentially lost in space. The Skeleton Crew trailer shows these children living on an Earth-like planet, making it the first time audiences get to see suburban life in Star Wars. Here’s everything you need to know about the cast and characters before the first two episodes of Skeleton Crew drop in December.

Jude Law Is Jod Na Nawood

Date of Birth: December 29, 1972

Born in London, England, Jude Law began his career on the stage, but Law’s big break on the big screen arrived with 1997’s Gattaca. Since then, Law has gone on to act in many movies and has even earned himself multiple Oscar, Golden Globe, and BAFTA nominations, winning the BAFTA for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 1999 for his role in The Talented Mr. Ripley. Character: While initially thought to be a Jedi, Na Nawood may be simply a Force user, or something else entirely. Described as a mysterious rogue, Jod crosses paths with a group of lost children, and they create a partnership with him to ensure their survival in a dangerous galaxy. Speaking to Screen Rant, Law told us:

“The mystery was the key. Knowing the scale of the universe now and therefore what it might be like to survive in that meant I could draw on all sorts of influences and inspirations. Obviously, the character himself has that potential because he’s slightly contradictory, duplicitous, and multi-faceted. He’s a survivor, but he’s clearly quick-witted and changeable.”

Ravi Cabot-Conyers Is Wim

Date of Birth: February 10, 2011

Despite his young age, Ravi Cabot-Conyers made his big break in Netflix’s #BlackAF as Kam, and he has already been featured in beloved stories. Most notably, Cabot-Conyers voiced Antonio Madrigal in the hit Disney animated film Encanto. His mother, Christina Cabot, is an actor and acting coach, best known for portraying Major Kathleen Spar in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. Character: Wim is a dreamer who yearns to leave his boring homeworld behind in favor of adventure and exploration. His curiosity unfortunately gets the best of him, as his discovery leads to him and his friends becoming lost within the greater galaxy. Speaking to Screen Rant, Cabot-Conyers told us:

“He wants to be a Jedi. He wants to help people and wield a lightsaber. He really cares for his friends, and he’s so brave and so hopeful. His imagination really carries him, and I really admire that about him. He really loves his friends, and I think that that’s awesome.”

Ryan Kiera Armstrong Is Fern

Date of Birth: March 10, 2010

At just 14 years old, Ryan Kiera Armstrong already has an impressive acting resume, with her big break arriving in Netflix’s Anne With an E. Taking her inspiration from Princess Leia Organa, Fern acts as a composed leader amongst her friends even after they’ve been lost within the galaxy. Speaking to Screen Rant, Armstrong told us:

“She likes speeder bikes. She is kind of like Han Solo to me. She’s the leader of the group, she’s funny, and she’s learning about herself. And you kind of see this journey that she goes through throughout the show of her becoming a young woman.”

“She’s quieter. She’s more on the introverted side, but she is very thoughtful and resourceful, and she has some special abilities because of her visor, which I think really comes in handy with her role in being a protector to the group and maybe a little bit of the voice of reason with Ms. Fern.”

“I think he’s just a loyal best friend, and I think he just wants to make sure everybody’s okay and protected. I just think he wants to get out of there safe, but I also think he doesn’t want to show people that he wants to get out of there safe. But he also wants to make sure he doesn’t die. I just think he doesn’t really want to be a part of this, but he doesn’t want to disappoint everybody.”
