While the original setup was not bad by any means, it just goes to show that something huge and phenomenal can be created in unlikely conditions.

A recent Reddit post by LynxReasonable7115 sparked major discussion on the original setup, of course with a few jokes alongside the image of a new upgrade for Stardew developer ConcernedApe. The setup was quite humble, with nothing more than a tiny desk, decent-sized monitor, and keyboard all stacked on top of each other.

Though the revelation of ConcernedApe’s setup is far from new, as the picture of the rig and the desk upgrade surfaced over four years ago now, it has made its rounds once again. Fans of Stardew Valley can appreciate how far the title has come as a whole, but seeing where it all began is both comforting and interesting. One commenter, known as Kumanda_Ordo took the comedic route, saying that the setup explains why Grandpa’s bed is a bit on the low-quality and cheaper side.

Even though the setup could have been looked upon in a different light, fans immediately went to bat for ConcernedApe, saying that such a successful developer starting from where Barone did deserves nothing but success.
