As the title suggests, the series concerns an old-school bookie named Danny (Sebastian Maniscalco) who finds his entire enterprise crumbling when the state of California legalizes gambling. Will Danny & Ray Return Again?

More Gambling Antics Are Expected
Because the full scope of season 2 hasn’t been revealed yet, it’s difficult to say exactly where Bookie season 3 will go. The series follows a somewhat basic structure as Danny and Ray go about trying to make money by collecting from their various customers. Underneath all that is the encroachment of legal gambling, and how the two savvy businessmen try to wrap their heads around each new burgeoning piece of action. Beneath all that even, is the relationships that Ray and Danny try to keep afloat, despite their less-than-conventional careers.
That is the real meat of the Chuck Lorre project, and it’s highly likely that Bookie season 3 will see the duo trying desperately to reclaim what they feel is slipping through their fingers. Season 2 will certainly introduce a few new challenges and wrinkles for the pair, but in the end, they’ll still be fighting for a solid source of income and perhaps some new ways to make it big.
