The impact of Disney Dreamlight Valley character additions always extends beyond the realms of the characters. Prime examples include recent things like Aladdin’s Gem Stall or even the upcoming Uncrafting Machine from the Cheshire Cat. One new feature that Alice in Wonderland could provide would finally rid the game of my biggest pet peeve: tiny villagers.
Remy, Woody, and Buzz are all wonderful villagers in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but their incredibly small stature makes them almost invisible. Buzz, with his bright white astronaut suit, is somewhat easier to spot, but even with the additional help of the map icons, these villagers are often hidden by larger objects around them.
Tiny Dreamlight Valley Villagers Are A Major Inconvenience
Remy, Buzz, and Woody Might As Well Be Invisible Villagers
Given that Remy is a rat and Buzz and Woody are both toys, it makes complete sense that they were designed to be smaller than the rest of the villagers. That being said, their movies take place from their perspective, so it’s still jarring to see them so comparatively tiny in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and perhaps they’re just a bit too small. While wandering the valley, you’re lucky to catch a glimpse of them, and even when actively seeking them out, they’re still nearly impossible to find.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Fans Disappointed About Cheshire Cat’s Potential Time-Gated Arrival
Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally getting an Alice in Wonderland update, but it may take some time for fans to get the Cheshire Cat as a resident.
When you do find them, it’s usually because they’ve startled you with a speech bubble from seemingly nowhere or because Woody decided to jump into the air after practicing his “Andy’s coming” routine. Even with their icon pinpointing their location on the map, it can still take too long to track them down.
By the time you make it over to them, they’ve likely moved a bit, and since they’re so small, you have no idea where they went. Even if they don’t move, they’re likely still obscured by a bush or other random object lying around, making them hard to spot and interact with.
Alice In Wonderland Could Introduce A Grow & Shrink Feature
“Eat Me” & “Drink Me” Items Could Help Change The Size Of Tiny Villagers
Those familiar with the story of Alice in Wonderland know that one key component of the story is Alice’s consumption of items that cause her to grow and shrink, allowing she can retrieve a key and fit through a tiny door. While nothing has officially been shared regarding whether these will be items in the game, the Wonderland Whimsy trailer seems to already confirm this feature in at least some limited form.

Everything New In Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Wonderland Whimsy Update
Disney Dreamlight Valley has revealed the long-awaited major Spring update, Wonderland Whimsy, including new characters, items, and a star path.
When showcasing the Alice in Wonderland realm, the trailer features a scene where the player encounters a tiny Alice standing on a table. Since we know that she is normally sized in other parts of the quest, as per the rest of the footage in the trailer, this means that at some point during the quest line, she is either shrunk, grown, or both, likely with your help. At this time, odds are that this is just something limited to her quest, but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t be expanded upon in the future.
The realm door for Alice was also shown to be considerably smaller than any of the other realm doors. While this makes sense for the story, none of the other doors up to this point have been unique aside from their symbol, so this could also indicate a shrinking mechanic for the player.
A major part of the reason that Remy, Buzz, and Woody are so small is that it’s simply their canonical nature. Unlike Ursula, who becomes human for a brief period in The Little Mermaid and thus can do so in Disney Dreamlight Valley, none of the small villagers ever change size in their films, so there’s no canon way to give them the ability to do so. That being said, if Alice were to introduce this feature based on her story, it could make it fair game for everyone else.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Surprises By Adding Star Wars-Themed Content
The update will hit the Premium Shop before May the Fourth, giving DDV players some time to get their hands on the new items before Star Wars Day.
While this could be as simple as having a quest in which Alice teaches you the recipes to make these shrinking and growing items, there would need to be some rules. For example, it would need to be something that exclusively worked on the tiny villagers, and even then, it couldn’t be too drastic.
The idea of a human-sized Buzz and Woody wouldn’t be that jarring, especially since they have life-size characters in Disney Parks, but a human-sized Remy would probably be nightmare fuel. So perhaps the feature could just grow them slightly or simply not work on Remy since he’s a rat and the others are toys.
This Unique Feature Would Give New Life To Old Characters
Once Added, Characters Are Often Forgotten, But A New Feature Could Change Things
With the abundance of new characters steadily being added to the game, Disney Dreamlight Valley often tries to keep old characters relevant by requiring interactions with them as part of a new quest. Even still, I can’t remember the last time I spoke to characters like Donald or Scar, who have been in the game since its launch. These characters are among the first to be maxed out, and since they don’t have a recurring reason to see or speak to them, they’re often forgotten.

Disney Dreamlight Valley players are sharing their extremely creative solutions for one of the most annoying decoration issues in the game.
This is even more so the case with these tiny villagers, whom you can’t even casually see when walking around the valley, making them entirely forgettable. Even Remy has lost some of his relevancy since you can cook anywhere, and Tiana’s restaurant also lets you serve guests. All this is to say that if Alice in Wonderland introduced a growing and shrinking ability that could be used on the characters, it would make them feel more present in the valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Star Paths Are Still Neglecting Way Too Many Players
Disney Dreamlight Valley has released a new star path themed after Aladdin. Yet, this Star Path is still neglecting a good portion of players.
Alternatively, if Gameloft opted not to use it on them, it could still be a feature for players, even if it’s just for quests. If players could shrink down to the size of Remy, Buzz, and Woody, then it would open the door to new exclusive quests for them, giving you a reason to interact with these characters again. Since this already happens when you visit the Toy Story realm, it’s well within the realm of possibilities. Regardless, whether this feature is introduced or not, Alice in Wonderland is sure to bring plenty of wacky surprises to Disney Dreamlight Valley.
