Are Haley Drexler & Pilar Still Together After The Ultimatum: Queer Love Season 2?

Haley Drexler and Pilar were featured in The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 2, and it’s time for an update on their relationship status. The Ultimatum: Queer Love is a spinoff of Netflix’s The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, which aired its third season in December 2024.

As is customary with Netflix reality TV shows, the majority of episodes drop all at once, with the finale and reunion episodes airing the following week. That made Queer Love season 2 only two weeks long, but it did coincide with Pride month.

Queer Love season 1 aired in June 2023, which means fans had two wait over two years for season 2. Haley and Pilar, Magan Mourad and Dayna Mathews, Brittney Thompson and AJ, Mel Vitale and Marie Angeline, Bridget Matloff and Kyle Neal, and Ashley Johnson and Marita Prodger comprised the cast of season 2.

The season itself had a positive outcome, with only Ashley and Marita deciding they wanted to split. Haley and Pilar had several defining moments on the show, and their relationship took a shocking turn.

Haley & Pilar’s Relationship Background

Together For 10 Years

Haley and Pilar were the couple who were together the longest entering the show. After having met in their early college days, Haley and Pilar had a ten-year relationship. They were both each other’s first queer experience. Haley issued the ultimatum to Pilar, who was disowned by her family for her orientation. Moreover, Pilar felt worried about monotony in their relationship.

Pilar did have a strong attachment to Haley’s family, who treated Pilar like a part of their family.

Haley & Pilar Got Engaged

Their Trial Marriages Were Pivotal

During the dating period, Pilar caught the interest of Kyle and Bridget, which created a strange love triangle of sorts. Pilar ended up choosing Kyle as her trial marriage partner, but things got hairy when Pilar kissed Kyle, who did not want anything physical. Despite that, Kyle and Pilar left things on a good note, and they still follow each other on Instagram.

Haley had an even more complicated experience. Late in the dating week, Haley and Magan went on their first date and formed an instant connection. That connection grew very intense, and the two ended up acting on their attraction.

They had sex throughout the 3 week trial marriage, and even said “I love you” at the end. They even confronted Magan’s ex Dayna about having sex with her trial marriage partner, Mel. It turned into the biggest scandal of the season.

“Haley and I were sitting in our bedroom, and all of a sudden, the TV turns on. It goes to Spotify. It logs in on both of your accounts. And all there’s been is sex playlists. You have one private playlist that you guys created together. And on your (Dayna’s) account, you opened the album you made for me, and you took all the songs that you created for me, including our song together, and put that on your playlist together.”

However, things between Haley and Magan took a hard left after Magan decided she wanted to make things work with Dayna. Magan told Haley she never loved her, which resulted in Haley calling Magan out for being untruthful and asking her to stay out of her life completely. With their trial marriages behind them and Pilar coming to terms with Haley’s experience with Magan, the pair were able to reconnect, and Pilar proposed to Haley.
