Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s multiplayer craze is well underway, and as usual for the series, that means the beginning of post-launch content. For years now the series has adopted a battle pass-style model in its release of maps, skins, weapons, and more for both its multiplayer and Warzone components. This year is no different, and Black Ops 6‘s Season 1 will release its first batch of content next week. Treyarch has a wealth of content planned for release to Season 1 buyers, and it is already looking to be one of the more extensive post-launch packs the series has ever seen.
Players have already gained access to Black Ops 6‘s version of the all-time classic map Nuketown, released on November 1. This was essentially the first post-launch content released, and it was a big topic of discussion within the Call of Duty community. With a new map already released, players are anxiously waiting for the arrival of more of Season 1’s content. Call of Duty seasonal content is usually divided into launch, mid-season, and end-of-season releases, so only some content discussed will be coming this week, but there’s plenty to expect from Season 1 maps, modes, weapons, and more.
When Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 Starts
The Season 1 Launch Date Is Imminent
As noted in a post from the official Call of Duty blog, Black Ops 6‘s Season 1 officially starts on November 14th at 9 AM PT. This means that all the content being advertised right now as launch content will be available to download and play in an update released on that day, including major additions like new multiplayer maps. Content advertised as mid-season or otherwise will be coming later on.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 New Maps
Three New Maps At The Start
Season 1 is kicking off Black Ops 6‘s multiplayer post-launch content with a bang. For starters, there are three new maps arriving at launch. The first, Hideout, is a 6v6 map taking place at a covert base. This is a mid-sized map that features lots of elevation as well as tight corners, offering a variety of opportunities for different game modes and playstyles.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a worthy inheritor of the series’ success, and while flush with content, there’s not enough innovation to be found.
The second, Heirloom, takes place in an art gallery dedicated to the Luttazzi Crime Family’s art. This map looks to be a fun change of scenery similar to the visual design of Skyline. It is another mid-sized map but looks to offer more long-range engagements with its long corridors and open spaces. The third, Extraction, is another mid-sized map that takes place at an Avalon Heliport. This map could offer the most variety in terms of playstyle, with a multilayered design that allows for close-quarters combat below decks and sniping from the air traffic control tower.
Beyond these three releasing on November 14th, there are three more maps that will be released mid-season, including a remaster of Black Ops 4‘s Hacienda, a holiday variant of Black Ops 6‘s version of Nuketown, and another brand-new map called Racket. Racket is a small-sized map that takes place inside a Lutazzi underground bank vault.
Black Ops 6 Season 1 Modes & Multiplayer Additions
New Modes, Perks, & An Early Ranked Launch
There are also a few modes being released, with two available at the launch of Season 1. Ransack is a loot-based mode that sees players chasing down gold bars and bringing them back to stash zones to earn points. Prop Hunt, just like the one from last year’s game, is essentially hide-and-seek with players disguised as inanimate objects. Hunters must find these players attempting to blend in with the map and its environment.
More modes will be added later this month, including Ranked modes and limited-time modes.
In terms of loadout additions, there will be 2 new perks as well as a new Scorestreak and Wildcard. At launch, a new perk, Shadow, will allow players to become invisible to enemy traps and mines. A new Scorestreak, the hand cannon, returns from Black Ops: Cold War (also at launch). The other new perk, Shrapnel Radar, and the Wildcard, High Roller, will arrive mid-season.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Updates
A New Zombies Mode & Map
Zombies is also getting plenty of new content in Season 1, starting with the introduction of Directed Mode. This mode is essentially a story aid for both the Terminus and Liberty Falls main questlines, designed to help players see as much of the Black Ops 6 Zombies story as possible. This mode marks objectives and has a round cap of 15 so that players can focus on progressing through the story of each map rather than simply surviving.

Best Perks To Get In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, Ranked
When buying different Perks in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies, some are more essential to get than others when fighting against undead hordes.
Mid-season will see the release of a completely new Zombies map called Citadelle des Morts. This map is set in a spooky medieval castle somewhere in Europe (presumably in France or another French-speaking nation), and it also involves a medieval village, although not much else has been announced about the map.
Aside from the new mode and map, there is plenty of other new content coming to Zombies this season. This includes a new Perk-A-Cola, Field Upgrade, and Ammo mod. There are 18 new augments coming this season as well, along with three new flavors of GobbleGums. The Hand Cannon, a new scorestreak for multiplayer, is making an appearance here as a craftable Support Weapon. Some of the other biggest features, like new Wonder Weapons and a completely new enemy type found on Citadelle des Morts, are being kept under wraps in terms of details.
With all of this brand-new content coming to both Multiplayer and Zombies in Season 1 of Black Ops 6, the player base should continue to grow and flourish as the holiday season draws near. This is always a fun time of year to be a Call of Duty player, and from the looks of it, Treyarch’s latest offerings will not disappoint. From Max Payne-style diving around those new maps in multiplayer to creeping through the halls of the new Zombies map, there’s a lot for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fans to look forward to in the coming months.
