Epic Mickey Rebrushed has a few power box locations in the OsTown Phone Network Quest that are hard to find. This is a quest that most players get right after they get taught how to use the paint and thinner mechanics. These mechanics are often used when trying to find and power the telephone boxes, so it can be difficult for players who aren’t used to finding hidden rooms and items.
It’s important to remember that you can finish this quest before you start it. Many of the power boxes are scattered around town when you enter before starting the quest. Activating the quest requires filling in the power box just to talk to the phone that gives you the quest. Epic Mickey Rebrushed, the reboot of the original, also keeps a tally of how many you’ve already done, so players can feel free to find the locations before starting the quest.
All Power Box Locations In Epic Mickey Rebrushed
There Are Three Of Them To Find
Once you color in the starting power box on the side of the yellow and pink house, you can speak to the phone inside the house. This is where you’ll start the OsTown Phone Network Quest in Epic Mickey Rebrushed. You’ll likely have already filled in one or two of the power boxes because they are on the map before you start the quest. That’s okay because it won’t lock you out of anything.
When you finish speaking to the phone, you’ll need to head outside, where Gremlin Prescott will ask you for help. Tell him no because saying yes immediately will make you lose out on some collectibles. It’s better to just visit Gremlin Prescott after finding all the power box locations and completing the OsTown Phone Network Quest. This way, you can get his wrench quickly and easily without the need to divert from the regular path.
First Power Box Location
To find the first power box, make your way to the Gag Factory in the bottom right corner of OsTown. When you’re at the entrance to the Gag Factory, you’ll see a trash can. Paint the trash can and then use it as a platform to jump onto the factory’s roof. From here, look for the red brick wall. On the red brick, you’ll see the outline of an unpainted power box in the middle of the wall. Paint it with the blue paint to activate it.
Second Power Box Location
To find the second power box, you need to head to Clarabelle’s house. She owns the first home on the left when you enter OsTown. She’s going to be watering the grass, which is exactly where you want to be. Thin out the area that she’s watering until you see a hole leading into a cave. Go inside the cave and feel free to collect anything around and destroy any breakables. Once you get all the way inside, you’ll see the outline of a power box on the wall. Use your blue paint to activate it.
Third Power Box Location
For the final power box, you’ll need to cross the thinner-filled water on the right side of OsTown. The bridge is incomplete, so you can either carefully edge your way along the right side of the water or use a double jump to get across. On the other side, you’ll see an orange wall with a gate pattern drawn on it. Thin out this section of the wall to uncover another hidden cave with the last power box. Fill in that power box with blue paint.
What To Do After The Epic Mickey Rebrushed Telephone Box Location Quest
Return To The Telephon For Your Handy Reward
Once you’ve activated all three power boxes, return to the Telephone, who will thank you for your help. One of the rewards is a wrench that’s important to make a bridge. Now that you have this wrench, you can talk to the Gremlin who spoke to you when you first started the quest. Go to the Gremlin and give him the wrench, and you’ll have successfully completed the OsTown Phone Network quest.
That marks the end of this part of one of the best Mickey Mouse games. You can go out and leave the area if you’d like or stay and collect any missing collectibles. A good idea would be to just ink and thin all the paint around to make sure you haven’t missed anything. This is the main quest of this area, so if you explored while you went to each box, you should have plenty of items already.
Where To Turn In The Wrench
Leave the house and head deeper into the town. Near the edge of the town, where the fountain is, you’ll see Gremlin Prescott in front of a deep abyss. He will thank you for your wrench and tell you he will fix the bridge. A cutscene will show the bridge coming out, allowing the player to get to the next area. Make sure to finish all the quests and get the collectibles in the area before leaving, as Epic Mickey Rebrushed will warn you that you may not be able to return.
