Every Fight In Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 3

Warning! This article contains major spoilers for Cobra Kai season 6’s part 3.

Since Cobra Kai season 6 part 3 marks the end of the long-running Netflix series, it features some of its most memorable action sequences and one-on-one showdowns. When it comes to its action, Cobra Kai has always struck the right balance between featuring sanctioned karate bouts and all-out street fights. Although season 6’s part 4 treads a similar path, it focuses more on official tournament fights that determine the future of its main characters.

Unlike many previous seasons, Cobra Kai season 6 part 3 also does not feature a chaotic no-holds-barred showdown between multiple characters. Instead, it primarily focuses on one-on-one bouts to ensure that all underlying rivalries are resolved. From a fight that changes Johnny Lawrence’s future forever to the much-awaited showdown between John Kreese and Terry Silver, Cobra Kai season 6’s part 3 is jampacked with many white-knuckling fight scenes that bring a satisfying closure to its run.

Kim Da-Eun Vs. Kim Sun-Yung

Winner: Kim Da-Eun

John Kreese finally walks down the morally righteous path in Cobra Kai season 6’s part 3 after realizing he was responsible for Kwon’s death. As a result, he tells Kim Sun-Yung that their team will not be returning to the Sekai Taikai. Sun-Yung does not take his defiance too well and encourages Kim Da-Eun to get him out of their way. He promises her that if she kills Kreese, she will get to lead the Cobra Kai dojo. Although she initially seems to accept his offer, Da-Eun decides to take control of her life instead of letting her grandfather manipulate her.

Daryl Vs. Gunther Braun

Winner: Gunther Braun

Gunther Braun seeks the All-Valley Tournament committee’s support in Cobra Kai season 6’s part 3, hoping that they will help him organize the final rounds of the Sekai Taikai. While the committee agrees to help, Daryl seems to have a problem with him leading the event. Gunther Braun suggests that to decide who among them will take charge, they should settle for the “old school” way. Before Daryl can even process what the “old” way is, Braun kicks him in the face and knocks him out. With this, he claims the leading position on the organizing committee.

Robby Keene Vs. Axel Kovacevic

Winner: Axel Kovacevic

In Cobra Kai season 6’s part 3, Demetri and Hawk design a simulation for Robby to help him train for his fight against Axel. Their strategy even proves effective as it allows Robby to initially foresee many of Axel’s moves during his Sekai Taikai showdown against him. However, since Axel is an advanced fighter, he easily adapts and starts executing many novel combos that Robby has not trained for. Although Robby gains the first point in the match, he struggles to hold on to his lead after Axel changes his game plan and catches him off-guard.

Even though Axel proves to be a superior and more experienced fighter, Robby’s undying spirit keeps him in the fight.

Axel shakes Robby’s confidence by gaining a massive lead, but Robby returns stronger after a break when Daniel reminds him of all the odds he has defied to reach where he is. Realizing that he has overcome far bigger challenges, Robby puts up a competitive fight against Axel. Even though Axel proves to be a superior and more experienced fighter, Robby’s undying spirit keeps him in the fight.

Unfortunately, when Sensei Wolf finally starts seeing Robby as a genuine threat, he prompts Axel to resort to extreme methods to win the fight. Although apprehensive, Axel listens to his sensei and breaks Robby’s leg when the Miyagi Do fighter kicks him. The injury makes it impossible for Robby to continue fighting, which makes Axel the winner. The referee of the match also does not consider disqualifying Axel, claiming that both fighters fell to the ground together before getting tangled with one another.

Daniel LaRusso & Mr. Miyagi Vs. Daniel’s Demons

Winner: Daniel LaRusso

Throughout Cobra Kai season 6, Daniel feels burdened by the pressure of carrying Mr. Miyagi’s legacy when he himself struggles to trust the stories his sensei once told him. After learning about some darker aspects of Mr. Miyagi’s past, Daniel wonders if he is even doing the right thing by imparting his lessons to his students. However, in the final season’s episode 13, Daniel finally faces his demons when they show up at his dojo, dressed up as his high school bullies.

Ralpha Macchio will reprise his role as Daniel LaRusso in Karate Kid: Legends, which is scheduled to be released on May 30, 2025.

Cobra Kai portrays this scene more as a metaphorical vision where Mr. Miyagi joins Daniel and helps him overcome his demons by advising him to follow his heart. Miyagi reminds him that winning or losing a tournament does not matter as long as he is doing what he thinks is right. This imaginative showdown between Daniel and his demons helps Daniel free himself from the burden of carrying Mr. Miyagi’s legacy. As a result, he respects Sam’s decision in Cobra Kai‘s final season when she chooses to back off from the Sekai Taikai tournament.

4

Tory Nichols Vs. Zara Malik

Winner: Tory Nichols

Like Robby, Tory, too, faces a superior opponent in the Sekai Taikai finals. Owing to this, Zara initially dominates her in the showdown and manages to get in her head by telling her that no one will ever love her. Tory fights out of anger, which prevents her from putting her karate skills to good use. However, Robby makes her feel better by reminding her that he loves her. With this, Tory returns to the mat as a changed fighter and puts her fighting skills on full display. To everyone’s surprise, she delivers a devastating kick to Zara’s face and wins the finals with a clean knockout.

3

Miguel Diaz Vs. Axel Kovacevic

Winner: Miguel Diaz

From the beginning, Miguel delivers an impressive performance against Axel in the Sekai Taikai finals by winning several points in a row. After Sensei Wolf belittles Axel, however, the Iron Dragon fighter in Cobra Kai weaponizes his anger and uses it to aggressively fight back against Miguel. His approach allows him to build a solid momentum that breaks Miguel. However, just when Miguel seems to be on the verge of giving in, Johnny motivates him by telling him that fighting, like life, is full of uphill battles. He uplifts him by reminding him that as long as he has the will to keep fighting, things will go in his favor.

In the meantime, Silver and Sensei Wolf encourage Axel to use all means necessary to win the fight. While Axel tries to injure Miguel and win against him by TKO, Miguel gets flashbacks of his early days of training. Recalling all the Cobra Kai lessons from his initial years, Miguel shows no mercy towards Axel and does not even give him the chance to fight back. During the fight’s final moments, Miguel draws from all the struggles he faced and challenges he overcame after season 2’s school battle left him severely injured. With this, he delivers one final blow to Axel’s face and wins by knockout.

2

John Kreese Vs. Terry Silver

Winner: John Kreese

In Cobra Kai season 6’s penultimate episode, John Kreese realizes that Terry Silver is up to no good. Before Silver can harm Johnny, Kreese takes it upon himself to stop him. Therefore, he arrives at his yacht and first takes down his henchman, Dennis. Silver looks down on Kreese for protecting Johnny Lawrence, claiming that he is pathetic for caring about him even though he has rejected him over and over. Kreese, however, disagrees and proudly says that Johnny has been nothing but a source of strength.

While Kreese dies as a hero, Silver fails to find the light.

This disagreement marks the beginning of the final showdown between the two Cobra Kai characters. Their fight initially seems even, but Silver eventually gains the upper hand. In a final attempt to redeem himself, Kreese uses his cigar to light up a leaking kerosene can in the boat. With this, both Cobra Kai villains perish. While Kreese dies as a hero, Silver fails to find the light.

1

Johnny Lawrence Vs. Sensei Wolf

Winner: Johnny Lawrence

After Miguel beats Axel, Cobra Kai and Iron Dragon end up having an equal number of points on the scoreboard. Since only one team can win the tournament, Braun announces a tie-breaker between Johnny and Sensei Wolf. In real combat sports, a tie-breaking match between coaches would have made no sense. However, Cobra Kai season 6’s ending introduces this story beat to give Johnny Lawrence a chance to redeem himself and finally get over the All-Valley loss that ruined his life.

Sensei Wolf seems to have a significant edge over Johnny Lawrence because he is younger and far more skilled. However, in a typical anime-esque fashion, Lawrence harkens back to his past during the fight and uses the power of love and determination to push through. In the end, Johnny Lawrence shocks everyone by defeating Sensei Kim in Cobra Kai season 6 part 3, which helps him regain enough confidence and credibility to reopen his gym in The Valley.
