Every Upcoming Michael B. Jordan Movie

Actor Michael B. Jordan has a string of movies set to hit theaters starting in 2025, adding to his already popular, celebrated filmography. Jordan got his start in television, with his breakthrough role coming in The Wire. Though he’s mainly known for blockbuster films now, including his starring role in the Creed films and playing Killmonger in the Black Panther movies. However, Michael B. Jordan’s first major film role was in the much smaller 2013 drama Fruitvale Station.

Michael B. Jordan’s movies thus far have allowed him to show many sides of himself, and his upcoming films will hopefully allow him to continue doing so. Jordan is even planning to branch out from just acting, with his directorial debut on the horizon. Unfortunately, Michael B. Jordan’s Matrix reboot never came to fruition, but, hopefully, all his planned movies will make it to the big screen. Michael B. Jordan is one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors, and his long list of upcoming projects proves it.

Untitled Ryan Coogler Vampire Movie

March 7, 2025

One of Michael B. Jordan’s most anticipated upcoming movies is another movie directed by Ryan Coogler. The untitled project marks the actor-director duo’s fifth collaboration, following Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It will also be a reunion with the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw and Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson. Other cast members include Delroy Lindo, Jack O’Connell, and Hailee Steinfeld. The cast and crew have helped build hype around the movie, but not much has been revealed about its story.

However, the genre alone has been enough to get audiences excited. The untitled Ryan Coogler/Michael B. Jordan movie is a gothic supernatural horror film. Though it hasn’t been confirmed, it’s been reported that the movie will be set in the American South sometime in the 1930s during the Jim Crow era, and Jordan will be playing a pair of blood-sucking vampires. The Ryan Coogler/Michael B. Jordan movie has drawn comparisons to Blade, which is currently in developmental limbo with Marvel, while the untitled film has a March 7, 2025 release date.

The Thomas Crown Affair Remake

TBA

Jordan will also produce the film through his Outlier Society production studio with Elizabeth Raposo. The company has also helped produce his movies Without Remorse, Just Mercy, Creed III, and more. The Thomas Crown Affair remake is part of a larger deal Outlier Society has with Amazon MGM, which includes a TV deal. The upcoming Michael B. Jordan movie will be the third remake of The Thomas Crown Affair .

The original 1968 movie starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway, with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo taking on their roles in the 1999 version. The main male character, Thomas Crown, whom Jordan will be playing, is a rich playboy who steals a famous painting from a museum. The Thomas Crown Affair is a romantic heist film, with the titular character falling for the insurance investigator sent after him. Michael B. Jordan’s co-star has yet to be announced, but the project’s history and his attachment will likely attract some big names.

I Am Legend 2

TBA

Over 15 years after the original movie was released, I Am Legend 2, starring Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan, is on its way. The 2007 film, based on Richard Matheson’s novel of the same name, was a big success, making it the seventh-highest-grossing film of the year. I Am Legend is about the last human in New York after a disease wiped out most of mankind, leaving behind nocturnal mutants. Neville (Smith) was immune to the virus and worked to develop a cure while defending himself from the mutants.

I Am Legend had a divisive ending that saw a major divergence from the Matheson novel. Fortunately, I Am Legend 2 is using the movie’s alternate ending, allowing Smith to return as Neville. It has yet to be announced who Michael B. Jordan will be playing in I Am Legend 2, but there is a chance he’ll take on the role of a Darkseer, or mutant, rather than one of the surviving humans. Given the first movie’s success, I Am Legend 2 could be another major box office hit for Michael B. Jordan.

Creed 4

TBA

Following the success of the first three Creed movies, all starring Michael B. Jordan in the titular role, Creed 4 is in development. Like with The Thomas Crown Affair remake, Jordan will be pulling double duty as star and director. However, there have been hints that the story will be shifting away from Jordan’s character, Adonis “Donnie” Creed, as the Creed universe expands beyond the original trilogy. This leaves open many possibilities for the story, but it could also just follow Donnie through the formula that worked so well in the previous movies.

The ending of Creed 3 also suggests that Creed 4 will be about Donnie’s relationship with his daughter, Amara, and his trying to balance being both a father and a trainer. The confirmation of Creed 4 wasn’t exactly surprising, given how well Creed 3 did at the box office. Each Creed movie’s grossing has bested the one that came before it, and Creed 4 could become the franchise’s biggest hit. Michael B. Jordan has been great as Donnie, and a Creed movie with him behind the camera will surely be interesting.

Rainbow Six

TBA

In 2021, Michael B. Jordan starred in the action thriller Without Remorse, also known as Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, as it was based on his 1993 novel of the same name. The movie followed Jordan as John Kelly, a U.S. Navy SEAL who wanted to get revenge on the Russian hitmen who killed his pregnant wife and unit members. The movie received mixed reviews, but it was a hit on Amazon Prime Video, the streaming platform on which it was released. This was enough to earn it a sequel based on Clancy’s Rainbow Six novel.

Jordan will reprise his role as John Kelly, with the plot shifting to his character commanding a multi-country anti-terrorist squad against an international conspiracy. Unlike Without Remore, Rainbow Six is set to have a theatrical release. The movie will also change directors to Chad Stahelski, best known for directing the John Wick movies. Stahelski’s success as an action director is a great sign for Rainbow Six, which could outdo Without Remorse. Michael B. Jordan has become known for his action movies, and Rainbow Six will allow him to shine in the genre again.

Wrong Answer

TBA

The upcoming Michael B. Jordan movie that might not make it to the big screen is Wrong Answer. The movie, which is also meant to be directed by Ryan Coogler, was first announced in June 2017, and there haven’t been any real updates since. This is understandable, as both Jordan and Coogler’s careers have skyrocketed since 2017, which was the year before Black Panther’s release. Their busy schedules have led Wrong Answer to take a backseat, but that doesn’t mean it won’t eventually be revisited, especially given their strong working relationship.

Michael B. Jordan has previously played real-life people in
Fruitvale Station
and
Just Mercy.

Wrong Answer is based on Rachel Aviv’s 2014 New Yorker story of the same name about the 2006 standardized test cheating scandal at Atlanta public schools. Jordan is set to star as teacher Damany Lewis, who joined the effort to prevent his school from being shut down under provisions of the No Child Left Behind law. It was announced that author Ta-Nehisi Coates, who wrote a Black Panther series for Marvel Comics, would write the screenplay. Hopefully, Wrong Answer will be one day added to Michael B. Jordan’s filmography.
