The search for Tiffany’s replacement continues, as FBI‘s new series regular departs before her episode even airs. Citing a desire to move on to different opportunities, Katherine Renee Kane exited during FBI season 7 and the character of Special Agent Tiffany Wallace was written off in the premiere of the seventh installment. Although it seemed like the CBS procedural might have found a permanent replacement, the latest update confirms that the search will continue.

Deadline reports that National Treasure: Edge of History actor Lisette Olivera is departing FBI, with her exit occurring before her character even debuts on-screen. The actor is set to portray Syd Ortiz, a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent that joins the agency’s New York field office criminal division. Her character will still debut during the November 12th episode as planned.
