Dahlia’s complete gameplay kit in Genshin Impact 5.7 has leaked following years of rumors about the character’s presence in the game and speculation about when he would be released and what he would do in combat. Leaks about Dahlia date back to before the release of Fontaine in Summer 2023. The character’s design had been leaked, and there was speculation that Dahlia’s release in Genshin Impact would occur at some point during the year of content related to Fontaine. A lot of time passed, with developer HoYoverse introducing Natlan, yet Dahlia was nowhere to be seen in the release pipeline.
Earlier this year, as the game approached the end of the main Archon Quests in Natlan, HoYoverse teased several characters that would become playable in the months leading up to the release of Version 6.0. Among the many silhouettes was the figure of Dahlia, who had not yet appeared in the game, but whose outline matched the leaks from 2023. Now, Dahlia has been confirmed as an NPC in the Genshin Impact 5.6 Archon Quests, and recent leaks have shown that the character will make his debut as a playable unit in the upcoming patch, Version 5.7.

All Of Dahlia’s Abilities In Genshin Impact 5.7 Have Leaked
The Character Is Rumored To Be A 4-Star Hydro Unit
Aside from the rumors about Dahlia’s release as a playable character in Version 5.7, there have also been leaks about his abilities. In fact, Dahlia’s entire gameplay kit has been leaked, as seen on the character’s page on Honey Hunter World. The compilation of leaks reports that Dahlia is a 4-star Hydro character who uses a sword in combat. Dahlia’s page on the database also puts the spotlight on all the materials he uses for both his Ascension and Talent-leveling processes. Most importantly, however, all of Dahlia’s abilities in Genshin Impact 5.7 are thoroughly described in the leak.

Genshin Impact 6.X Leaks Claim Worst Possible Outcome For Capitano, But I’m Not Convinced Just Yet
There have been new leaks about Capitano’s release as a playable character in Genshin Impact, but I don’t believe them just yet, despite the evidence.
This includes the details about Dahlia’s Normal Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst, as well as the character’s passive Talents, two of which are directly linked to his active abilities. Dahlia’s page on the database even highlights each of his six Constellation levels. It is worth noting that everything listed in the database, as reliable as it may be since it comes from the beta tests, is still subject to change as the tests go on and HoYoverse makes tweaks to the character’s kit, much like how Skirk’s kit in Genshin Impact 5.7 is still subject to change.
Dahlia’s Kit In Genshin Impact 5.7 Explained
The Character May Be A Shielder
As seen in the leak, Dahlia’s Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks are not too different from other 4-star sword users and don’t provide any sort of special effects. Dahlia’s leaked Elemental Skill, however, has two modes. With the Skill’s Tap mode, Dahlia recites a short prayer and quickly summons a Mist-Rain Mystery directly in front of him. With the Hold version of the Skill, Dahlia can summon the Mist-Rain Mystery in the desired position on the field. This Mist-Rain Mystery is a water-based disc placed on the floor that has different effects depending on who touches it in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 5.7 Leaks: Even With Skirk, Wriothesley’s Role As A Cryo DPS Is Still Safe Thanks To One Minor Detail
Speculation that Wriothesley’s role as a Cryo DPS would be threatened with Skirk’s release in Genshin Impact 5.7 may have just been quelled.
If an enemy touches the Mist-Rain Mystery, it explodes and deals AoE Hydro DMG to nearby enemies. Alternatively, if an ally touches it, it launches the character into the air. According to the leak, only one Mist-Rain Mystery summoned by Dahlia can be on the field at once. Dahlia’s leaked Elemental Burst is arguably the most important part of his kit. The Burst deals AoE Hydro DMG to nearby enemies and grants the party Favonian Favor, summoning a Shield of Sacred Favor, which scales off of Dahlia’s Max HP in Genshin Impact and absorbs Hydro DMG with 250% effectiveness.
Favonian Favor is an effect that, while active, allows one stack of Benison to be consumed to summon a new Shield of Sacred Favor when an existing Shield expires or is broken via damage. Essentially, this allows Dahlia to replenish the Shield continuously. Dahlia can gain one stack of Benison when his active party member hits opponents four times with Normal Attacks while under the effect of Favonian Favor. One of his passive Talents can also provide Benison.
Dahlia can obtain up to five stacks of Benison per Favonian Favor duration.
The passive Talent, allegedly called The Wind’s Gentle Grace, sees that when characters affected by Favonian Favor trigger a Frozen reaction, they grant Dahlia two stacks of Benison, an effect that can trigger once every eight seconds. This shows that Dahlia is also compatible with the Cryo meta in Genshin Impact 5.7 and beyond. Another of Dahlia’s leaked passive Talents says that when the active party member is affected by Favonian Favor, their ATK SPD increases based on Dahlia’s Max HP, with every 1,000 Max HP granting a 0.4% increase, up to a maximum of 15%.
The last leaked passive Talent in Dahlia’s kit sees that, during the day (between 6:00 and 18:00 in-game), party members gain the Swift Stride effect, which increases their Movement SPD by 10%. This effect is not activated in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss, and cannot stack. Overall, based on what has been leaked so far, it seems like Dahlia’s main role in team comps will be that of a Hydro sustain character who can continuously provide shields to his team, and even replenish them when they are destroyed in Genshin Impact.
Dahlia May Be A Support For Skirk In Genshin Impact
Like Skirk, Dahlia Is Rumored To Benefit From Frozen Reactions
Although Dahlia may be a universal support, especially for teams led by DPS units who use Normal Attacks as the main source of their damage output, such as Arlecchino, it does seem like Dahlia’s kit is designed for Skirk. Dahlia’s passive Talent, which grants him two stacks of Benison when Frozen is triggered, plays right into what is expected of Skirk. Her aforementioned kit revolves around the usage of Cryo and Hydro characters, and triggering Frozen reactions is what enhances her own power. Skirk’s rumored limitation on Freeze in Genshin Impact may be something HoYoverse is willing to invest in.

After Seeing The Genshin Impact 5.7 Character Leaks, I’m Concerned The Game Will Repeat A Past Blunder
Genshin Impact 5.7’s new leaks have revealed more details about Dahlia’s abilities, but I’m concerned the game will repeat a past mistake.
If players dive into a Freeze team with Skirk and Dahlia, the DPS character’s damage output will be augmented by the presence of the Hydro character, Dahlia, and the possibility of Frozen reactions, while Dahlia himself will be able to replenish his Shield of Sacred Favor more often due to the increased stacks of Benison he will gain from Skirk’s continuous Normal Attacks and Frozen reactions. For now, the leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, as they are still highly subject to change, but Dahlia may be the best support for Skirk in Genshin Impact.
