Warning: Spoilers ahead for Goosebumps: The Vanishing!
Goosebumps: The Vanishing highlights recent hit songs while incorporating past eras as part of the show’s season 2 soundtrack. Despite being the second season of the Disney+/Hulu show based on R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps books, The Vanishing focuses on an entirely new story and setting. The approach gives Goosebumps: The Vanishing two sets of characters, considering part of the horror tale is set in 1994. Of course, the series honors that part of the timeline by using popular songs from musical artists at the peak of their popularity in that decade.
If songs from Beastie Boys and System of a Down aren’t your cup of tea, there’s a wide variety of other songs featured in Goosebumps: The Vanishing from genres like pop, hip-hop, indie, jazz, and alternative. From Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter to a Major League baseball player, Goosebumps season 2’s soundtrack quickly emerges as a fun aspect of the follow-up installment. Those who grew up reading R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps will surely get a kick out of how the show mixes recent hits and songs that released in the early days of the horror book series.
