Invincible Season 3: All 11 Villains In The Order

Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Invincible season 3, episode 5!

Invincible season 3 has finally properly introduced The Order, and here are all 11 villains who are members of the team and how they connect to the supervillain organization. Like any good comic book universe, the world of Invincible has teams of superheroes and supervillains. While the most notable superhero team in Invincible is the Guardians of the Globe, the most notable supervillain team is The Order, which consists of some of Earth’s most criminal antagonists. Invincible season 3, episode 5 focuses on The Order, and here is every villain that the episode confirms is part of the team.

Invincible season 3 is finally here, with the show picking up right where Invincible season 2 ended. While most of season 3 has been about Mark’s conflicts with Cecil as well as Earth preparing for a Viltrumite invasion, the season has also found some time to continue storylines from season 1. The Titan and Machine Head storyline was one of the most popular arcs from Invincible season 1, and after it was mostly absent from season 2, season 3 has brought it back in a big way. This time, however, there are a lot more villains.

Titan

Made Of Stone

At the start of Invincible season 3, episode 5, one of the most notable villains in The Order is Titan. Titan took over Machine Head’s operation after taking down the villain with Invincible back in season 1. However, he was unaware that his new position as a crime boss would put him under the influence of The Order, a global crime syndicate made up of supervillains.

Invincible Season 3’s Teased Romance Will Fully Redeem The Hero Season 2 Unexpectedly Made You Root For

Invincible season 3 is continuing season 2’s best redemption arc, with this major comic book change making a big contribution to the story.

Titan spends most of the episode attempting to escape The Order, with him agreeing to break Multi-Paul out of prison for Mister Liu. However, as things continue to get heated, Titan takes more drastic measures in order to get out. Titan ends up working with Machine Head in order to take Mister Liu down, with Machine Head taking over The Order and giving Titan permission to maintain his crime boss position independent of the organization.

Machine Head

Uses Technology To Commit Crime

Machine Head finally returns in Invincible season 3, episode 5, with him quickly rising through the ranks of The Order by the end of the episode. Machine Head was originally a crime boss in season 1, with Titan and Invincible working together to take him down. Machine Head wound up in prison, with his influence and technology rotting away while he was behind bars.

Machine Head escapes prison with Titan in season 3, with Machine Head and Isotope working together to kill Mister Liu. After Machine Head shoots Mister Liu, he takes over his position in The Order. As of Invincible season 3, episode 5, Machine Head is the new leader of The Order, with all of the other villains in the organization answering to him. However, based on Machine Head’s track record, he probably won’t comfortably hold this position for long.

9

Multi-Paul

Can Create Clones Of Himself

Multi-Paul is another influential member of The Order in Invincible season 3, with his role in the story being what kicks off all of the changes within The Order. Multi-Paul is the brother of Dupli-Kate, with him having the power to create clones of himself. This makes Multi-Paul one of Mister Liu’s most valuable assassins, although he has been behind bars for an unknown amount of time when Invincible season 3 starts.

Mister Liu approaches Titan in season 3, telling him that he must get Multi-Paul out of prison in order to maintain good standing with The Order. Multi-Paul had previously broken out in season 3, only to be defeated by Invincible, Rex Splode, and Dupli-Kate before being sent back to his GDA prison cell. Cecil is apparently interested in using Multi-Paul as a hero, giving him a potential path out if he chooses to abandon his villainous ways.

8

Mister Liu

Can Turn Into A Dragon

Mister Liu was the former head of The Order, with him being a short Chinese man with a metal jaw. While his cyborg aesthetic and criminal influence make him a powerful enough villain on his own, he also possesses the ability to magically transform into a giant flying dragon. While in this form, Mister Liu is able to hold his own against heroes like Invincible and Atom Eve, although his human body is left defenseless with Mister Liu’s bodyguard.

Mister Liu attempts to exert his influence over Titan in season 3, episode 5, although he is bested by the end of the episode. When Titan gets Machine Head out of prison, Machine Head sees it as his opportunity to take over The Order. Machine Head and Isotope take down Mister Liu’s bodyguard and shoot Liu in the head, seemingly killing him. However, Invincible season 3, episode 5’s post-credits scene confirms that Mister Liu has managed to come back to life.

7

Isotope

Teleportation

Isotope is another powerful villain who has a big role in The Order, with him powers of teleportation coming in handy throughout Invincible. Isotope was formerly Machine Head’s right-hand man, although he abandoned his former boss and began to work for Titan after Titan and Invincible destroyed Machine Head’s empire. Isotope has been faithfully serving Titan ever since, although that changes in Invincible season 3.

When Machine Head gets out of prison, Isotope almost immediately begins to work for him again. Machine Head has Isotope take Mister Liu’s bodyguard and teleport him into the sky, dropping him from a great distance. After Machine Head shoots Mister Liu, Isotope again serves as Machine Head’s right-hand man, with Titan remaining the crime boss independent of The Order.

Slaying Mantis

Uses A Mantis Battle Suit

Slaying Mantis in Invincible

While the previous five members of The Order all play major roles in the story of Invincible, they are far from the only members of The Order. Invincible season 3, episode 5 also shows a ton of other supervillains who are sitting at the table, with them also being high-ranking members of the criminal organization. These are all goofier villains who will probably never have their stories fleshed out, such as Slaying Mantis.

What Mark Killing The Immortal Means For Invincible Season 4 & The Show’s Ending

Mark Grayson is forced to kill a version of the Immortal in Invincible season 3, which quietly sets up some important story beats for future seasons.

Slaying Mantis’ name is specifically called out by Machine Head, although he is an actual Image Comics character. Slaying Mantis is Image Comics’ parody of Killer Moth from DC Comics, with him wearing a large mantis costume and fighting heroes. Slaying Mantis’ battle suit comes equipped with energy blades and a variety of other weapons.

Insomniac

Telepathy

Insomniac in Invincible

One of the creepiest-looking villains that is seen in Invincible season 3, episode 5 is Insomniac. Insomniac is another villain sitting at the table of The Order, with the character wearing a device on his face that forces his eyes to always be open. Insomniac is another minor villain from Image Comics, with him having telepathic powers. Insomniac isn’t a major player in Invincible at all, with him typically being seen in the background whenever The Order makes an appearance.

4

Walking Dread

Super Strength & Electrokinesis

Walking Dread, Red Eye, and Embrance in Invincible

The hulking mass standing up behind the table in season 3’s The Order scene is Walking Dread, another Image Comics supervillain. The massive beast has a variety of powers, with him being able to absorb electricity as well as having super strength, invulnerability, electrokinesis, and incredibly sharp claws. Walking Dread’s name makes him one of Invincible‘s many The Walking Dead jokes, another Image Comics series written by Robert Kirkman.

3

War Woman II

Similar To The Original War Woman

The Order in Invincible

The original War Woman was a member of the Guardians of the Globe, with her getting killed by Omni-Man back in Invincible season 1. War Woman’s successor, War Woman II, was far less heroic. In the Invincible comics, War Woman II was the lover of the original War Woman, with her snapping after the original War Woman’s death. She then became a villain, with her conquering Amazonia and becoming an incredibly powerful criminal. This earned her a seat on The Order, with her being a key member of the supervillain team ever since.

Unlike some of the other The Order villains seen in season 3, episode 5, War Woman II’s storyline has been fairly fleshed out. So, it is possible that more focus could be given to her in a future episode of Invincible, with her change from hero to villain thematically tying into Mark and Cecil’s overarching season 3 conflict.

2

Red Eye

Heat Vision

Red Eye in Invincible

Red Eye is another powerful member of The Order who can be seen at the table in Invincible season 3, episode 5. In the comics, Red Eye was given heat vision after an encounter with an extraterrestrial being, with him being similar to the Marvel character Cyclops. Red Eye may not be a major character in the comics, but a related character named Davi does play a slightly bigger role. Thus, it is possible that this could be a tease of Davi’s introduction in a future Invincible season or spinoff.

1

Embrace

Possession

Titan and Embrance in Invincible

The final villain seen in Invincible season 3, episode 5’s The Order scene is a character named Embrace. Embrace is another minor Image Comics supervillain, with her having the powers of flight, invisibility, possession, and teleportation. Embrace probably won’t play a major role in the future of Invincible‘s story, although it is fun to see the Amazon Prime Video series using The Order to spotlight some lesser-known Image Comics villains.
