Jensen Ackles gives an update on his Tracker season 3 status, striking a mixed tone. Ackles plays Russell Shaw, the older brother of Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw, in the CBS crime drama. Although he’s only guest-starred in two episodes so far, Ackles plays a key role in the show because of the fraught relationship between the two siblings that dates back to their family’s complicated history.
In an interview with Collider to promote his upcoming Prime Video series Countdown, Ackles also touches on whether he’ll return to Tracker soon. The actor strikes an optimistic tone, mentioning that he hopes to be back, but noting that he’s unsure whether he’ll appear and in what capacity. Still, in the quote below, Ackles mentions that conversations are taking place about his return:
“We are discussing that as we speak. That is being talked about, so yeah, I would hope so. Justin [Hartley] is a dear friend of mine and getting to play with him is always a fun thing. So, yeah, there are talks of bringing me back. To what capacity, I’m not sure yet.”
