Players have anticipated the arrival of the Powerpuff Girls since plans for their MultiVersus introduction were leaked alongside Adventure Time’s Marceline and DC’s Nubia, who’s set to appear with the heroes this season. The game has received other familiar faces from the ’90s and early 2000s in the meantime, including Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice. However, the Powerpuff Girls are primed to mix things up with dynamic attacks, interchangeable frontrunners, and perks.

Tag, You’re It |
Special Ground Down |

Each leader applies unique attributes and changes the properties of special moves. Bubbles is fastest, with less knockback; Buttercup is slower, with more knockback; and Blossom is balanced. |

Bubbles makes a great lead to deal damage fast, but she doesn’t pack as much power behind her punches as her sisters. Buttercup is your best bet to land a powerful blow and knock enemies back. For a happy medium, Blossom offers a balanced fighting style.
Powerpuff Girls Perks
On top of a diverse moveset, the Powerpuff Girls bring several perks to MultiVersus. The girls have access to an Aerial Dash Attack, dubbed Rainbow Dash. This can knock opponents away, offering different approaches and combo options based on enemy locations.
The Powerpuff Girls are currently among the only fighters able to use an Aerial Dash Attack in
MultiVersus
. With a tag-team dynamic and versatile fighting style, you can use Rainbow Dash to surprise opponents or spice up your own playstyle.
Beyond Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice, the girls’ An Extra Ingredient perk changes the properties of each girl’s Neutral Special. Depending on who’s in front, this also adds debuffs to the opponent. While Blossom can freeze enemies, Bubbles can stun them, and Buttercup can ignite her opponents. Each has its uses to win MultiVersus matches, so test every girl’s abilities to keep opponents on their toes.
The Powerpuff Girls no doubt present a nostalgic pick for MultiVersus players, and they make a powerful package-deal fighter set. It will likely take some time to master their unique abilities and moves, given their versatility at play. Even so, the trio makes a great Assassin option for seasoned players looking to practice with the best characters.
