EXCLUSIVE: 9-1-1’s Oliver Stark considers ways Buck could crossover to ABC’s upcoming spinoff, 9-1-1: Nashville, starring Chris O’Donnell.

McVey’s character, Blue, is described as “a haunted bad boy, now a firefighter,” which is essentially the prototype of the character of Oliver Stark’s fan-favorite, Evan “Buck” Buckley. Buck is the defacto lead of 9-1-1, and the character is hugely popular with audiences, as well as other characters within the show.

Blue Is Sure To Evolve As The Show Progresses

How much of a prominent role Blue is going to play in 9-1-1: Nashville is unclear at this stage, but the character is sure to evolve as the show progresses. His character seems like he will be a blend between Buck and Bode from Fire Country – a former bad boy who also has a difficult past he is trying to escape.

9-1-1 season 9 is going to continue Buck’s journey, and there is a good chance that Blue’s journey will be very similar to his. It will be interesting to see whether Blue starts out on the show in a very similar place to what Buck did in the 9-1-1 pilot. Blue should grow a lot as the show progresses, and will be vital to the evolution of 9-1-1: Nashville.
