The Feybreak update for Palworld has tons of new Pals and challenges, including a difficult boss battle against Bjorn and his companion Bastigor. These two warriors are a deadly team, existing as perhaps the hardest boss duo in the entire game. To claim victory over both opponents, you’ll need the best equipment and team that you can put together.
Bjorn and Bastigor are the final enemies at the end of Feybreak Tower, a boss rush building featuring six other Trainers and their Pals. You need to defeat everyone else before you can face Bjorn and Bastigor, so make sure you have claimed enough victories beforehand. When you challenge the Tower on Feybreak Island, you should have Pals that are all around Level 60 to maximize your chances at success.
How To Prepare For Bjorn And Bastigor
Train Up At Least One Fire-Type
Going into this boss fight under-leveled is a recipe for disaster, so make sure you have Pals at the maximum Level possible for this fight. You need to build the strongest equipment at your disposal before challenging Bjorn and Bastigor to make this fight any easier. Since both bosses have a strong damage output, you should try to match it by using powerful weapons of your own.
Some great weapon choices in this boss battle are the Rocket Launcher
or Plasma Cannon, which have the highest damage output in the game. Try to farm the schematics and materials needed to build these weapons before challenging the Feybreak Tower bosses.
Although Bjorn is a tough opponent, Bastigor will be the greatest threat on the battlefield in this boss fight. Bastigor is an Ice-type Pal, meaning that its attacks deal cold damage to both your Pal and your character as you fight. To respond to this threat, wear strong Cold-resistant gear to lower the amount of damage you take from Bastigor’s various moves.

Due to Bastigor’s Ice affinity, you need to capture at least one Fire-type Pal to exploit the boss’ weakness. Ice-type Pals are weak to Fire-type moves, making Pals like Jormuntide Ignis powerful allies to have at the Tower’s peak. This variation of the normal Water-type Jormuntide in Palworld also has a Partner Skill that boosts its attacking power, giving you a nearly perfect counter against Bastigor.
Some other great Pals for this fight include Blazamut or Incineram, who also utilize Fire-type attacks. Any Pal you can use as a mount during the fight is also a useful ally during the battle.
Legendary Pals in Palworld Feybreak are also strong teammates to have by your side against Bjorn and Bastigor. These rare Pals are extremely hard to catch but have higher stats than nearly any other creatures you could capture around Feybreak Island. Make attempts to breed or capture good counters before you run into the Bjorn and Bastigor boss fight unprepared.
Where To Find Bjorn And Bastigor
Unlock Feybreak Tower’s Highest Point
The coordinates for Bjorn and Bastigor’s level of Feybreak Tower are (-1294, -1669). This peak of the Tower can only be reached once you have defeated the other six bosses of the area, which include:
- Zoe and Grizzbolt
- Lily and Lyleen
- Axel and Orserk
- Marcus and Faleris
- Victor and Shadowbeak
- Saya and Selyne
To enter Feybreak Tower at all, you need to have the Bounty Tokens for the Alpha Pals Dazzi Noct, Caprity Noct, and Omascul. You can get these tokens by defeating each of the Alpha Field Bosses mentioned around Feybreak Island.
Defeating all these enemies will put you on the path to Bjorn and Bastigor, whose arena resides at the very top of the Tower. This area has extremely cold weather, which can harm your character on the way up. Beyond just reducing the damage from Bastigor’s attacks, this gives you another great reason to equip cold-resistant gear in preparation for this boss fight.
How To Defeat Bjorn And Bastigor
Divide And Conquer To Secure Victory
Ultimately, the battle against Bjorn and Bastigor relies completely on how much you trust the Pal you bring into the battle. The best way to approach these bosses is to have your character fight Bjorn while your Pal battles Bastigor. Bjorn will be riding Bastigor as a mount throughout the fight, giving you opportunities to shoot the trainer while the larger Pal is forward-facing your companion.

The Feybreak update for Palworld has introduced 24 new Pals to collect in the survival/monster collection game, but which are the very best?
Bastigor uses long-range ice spikes and cascading AoE strikes to damage your character. Use the large pillars in the boss arena to avoid ice projectiles whenever you can. For those playing on the new Hardcore mode in Palworld, you can’t afford to take even one hit from either boss, so dodging every attack is crucial.
Bjorn/Bastigor Move List |
||
---|---|---|
Attack |
Description |
How To Counter |
Icicle Drop |
Bastigor summons Icicles from the sky around the arena, which drop onto the ground to deal damage over a small AoE. |
Watch the ground to spot a growing circle indicating an Icicle’s AoE before it lands. Dodge out of this space to avoid taking damage. |
Ice Throw |
Bjorn and Basigon create an icicle projectile in front of them, then throw it before it explodes on impact to deal damage in a small AoE radius. |
Dodge behind a pillar to avoid the initial projectile, then dodge backward to avoid the explosive AoE. |
Frozen Water Beam |
Bastigor conjures an orb of water in front of it, which fires a laser of compressed water in front of it for a short time at a target. |
It takes time for Bastigor to charge up this move, giving you time to hide behind some cover. Do not get hit by this move, as it will stun you if you do get struck. |
Avalanche |
Bjorn and Bastigor create a line of icicles behind them, which each fire as projectiles toward you. |
There is a slight delay between each icicle projectile, so simply dodge away from one or find cover before it can hit you. |
Ice Stomp |
Bastigor stomps into the ground in front of it, causing an explosion of ice in a line. After this, the Pal dashes forward, trying to strike a target. |
Dodge backward to avoid the initial ice stomp, then dash to one side to avoid the follow-up dash. |
Water Geysers |
Bastigor will either create a geyser of water in a horizontal line or a vertical line. Water will start emerging from the ground at the boss and slowly approach a target over a set distance. |
Dodge forward through the horizontal line of water as it appears, or to the side if it is vertical. |
Kings Of Ice |
Bastigor freezes the battlefield, causing ice spikes to emerge from the ground to damage and freeze targets caught in their radius. |
As Bastigor charges this attack, you can notice which parts of the ground are freezing. Try to get to a spot that won’t freeze at the edge of the arena, or hide behind a pillar so you can avoid a follow-up attack if you’re frozen. |
Bastigor and Bjorn also throw rock projectiles and leaping ice smashes that can be difficult to avoid. The two bosses have a chance to freeze their targets using some of their attacks, making it impossible to avoid any follow-up moves they use. Remember to dodge at the right times to prevent yourself from being frozen and shoot Bjorn to deal critical hits to the boss’ health bar.
Another good strategy is to reload behind the cover of pillars so you always have shots ready to go. Staying far away from the boss when it uses its deadliest attacks is a great way to avoid getting hurt in the long run. Over time, using guerilla tactics to strike Bjorn and Bastigor while your Pal has their attention will eventually help you win the fight.
