The new reality competition series, Predator vs. Prey, will feature stars from Survivor and other shows in the ultimate test of survival.
According to Variety, a new survival competition series, Predator vs. Prey, is on the horizon, and will be hosted by Reacher star Alan Ritchson. Bunim/Murray Production (The Real World, The Challenge) is developing the show, which will feature 15 contestants who’ve previously competed on survival series including Alone, Outlast, Naked & Afraid, and Survivor. They’ll compete in a 21-day game of hide-and-seek, which takes place on a 25-square-mile rugged wilderness course.
The cast will be separated into two groups: the Predators and the Prey. The Predators will be able to bank up to $500,000 for capturing Prey. The Prey will have the opportunity to earn cash prizes for remaining in the game. Each episode will include a different game-changing challenge that forces the Prey out of hiding. Predator vs. Prey was developed by Bunim/Murray’s Senior Vice President of Development, Gayani Wanigaratne, and Alan, who’s not only the host of the show, but also the game master and executive producer.
In a statement, Gayani described Predator vs. Prey, saying, “This series will be the ultimate test of grit and strength, pitting top survival stars against each other in a relentless game of chase and survival through a challenging wilderness environment. Partnering with Alan to co-develop this format, fueled by his passion for the survival space, brings an authentic edge and fresh creative perspective. His first question to us was, when does he get to parachute into the wilderness to greet the players!”
Alan is thrilled about Predator vs. Prey, stating, “Seeing the world’s best survivalists pitted against each other in a high-octane game of hide-and-seek, all while surviving days or weeks in the most frighteningly unpredictable scenarios Mother Nature has to offer … TV doesn’t get more exciting than this. I can’t wait to be in the wild with these contestants.”
