The Sims: Legacy Collection includes different requirements for promotions in your Sims’ jobs that you won’t see in other games, and one requirement is having a certain number of friends. Relationships with Sims who aren’t on your lot decay at a rate of about 2 points a day if you don’t make any effort to contact them, which means that it doesn’t take long to drop back below the friendship level, unlike The Sims 2: Legacy Collection, where friendships tend to decay at a slower rate. This is particularly true if your relationship is just at 50 because it only takes one day without interactions to lose that friend.
