The Ultimatum: Queer Love Season 2 Cast Guide

The Ultimatum: Queer Love is returning to Netflix for season 2, and here’s everything we know about the cast. The new season of the scandalous social experiment will feature six couples who want to test their relationships. All of the couples are comprised of women and/or nonbinary people. Will the couples leave the show engaged, or will they part ways for good?

The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 1 premiered on May 24, 2023, so fans have waited over two years for another season. Finally, viewers can watch The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 2 on June 25, 2025. Who will be putting their relationship on the line this summer?

Kyle & Bridget

Kyle And Bridget Have Been Together For Over Two Years

Kyle Neal (she/they) has always wanted to get married, and she thought she had found the right person to take that step with when she and Bridget Matloff (she/they) matched on a dating app. Now, two-and-a-half years later, Bridget has decided she wants to be with Kyle for the rest of her life… but she doesn’t want to get married. For Bridget, the marriage certificate seems unnecessary.

If they’re going to be together forever, why do they need to get married?

Unfortunately for Bridget, Kyle has said marriage is nonnegotiable. The Ultimatum: Queer Love will be a good time for Bridget to decide if she can be with someone who makes her compromise on this issue. Plus, Kyle and Bridget showed that they’re fans of reality dating shows by dressing up as iconic queer couple Robby Hoffman and The Bachelorette‘s Gabby Windey for Halloween in 2023.

Haley & Pilar

Haley And Pilar Have Been Together Since College

Haley Drexler (she/her) met Pilar (she/her) the first week of college ten years ago and they’ve been together ever since. While Pilar feels fulfilled with the love and commitment their relationship currently contains, she doesn’t think marriage is necessary. Haley disagrees and has given Pilar an ultimatum.

On top of thinking marriage is a societal construct, Pilar’s parents disapprove of her sexual orientation and relationship with Haley. Pilar only came out to them two years ago, after she had been exclusive with Haley for eight years. Can Pilar put aside her feelings about marriage and stand up to her parents if it means keeping Haley in her life?

Mel & Marie

Mel And Marie Have Been Together For Four Years

Mel Vitale (she/her) and Marie Angeline (she/her) met as teenagers, and Mel developed a crush on Marie right away. However, Marie wasn’t aware of her queer identity yet, so while she knew she was drawn to Mel’s confidence, it took some time before the two began a romantic relationship. Eventually, they opened a food truck together, making them both life and business partners.

Marie has decided it’s time to take their relationship to the next level. She wants to start a family someday and thinks the first step in that journey is marriage. Mel, on the other hand, isn’t 100% sure that their relationship is ready for that step. She thinks they have some things to sort out. From the sound of it, Mel may be more gung-ho about the Netflix social experiment and the chance to date other people than Marie. Will their relationship make it through?

AJ & Britney

AJ And Britney Have Been Together Half A Decade

Britney Thompson (she/her) is a registered nurse, but her career ambition doesn’t stop there. She’s also the CEO of a med spa in Orlando, Florida. With her career on the right track and a five-year relationship under her belt, Britney has decided she wants to marry AJ (she/her).

AJ, however, is concerned that Britney’s career is more important than their relationship. She loves Britney but needs to make sure they’re on the same page regarding what the future looks like. Will going on The Ultimatum: Queer Love clarify AJ and Britney’s priorities?

The trailer ends with a very dramatic moment between AJ and Britney. The two are holding hands and Britney takes a deep breath, clearly very stressed out. Of course, the trailer doesn’t reveal whether or not AJ and Britney get engaged, but fans should get ready for a dramatic moment between this couple.

Dayna & Magan

Dayna And Magan Have The Shortest Relationship On The Show

Dayna Mathews (she/her) and Magan Mourad (she/her) have only been together a year and a half, but Dayna has decided she’s ready to make a deeper commitment to Magan. Magan isn’t so sure. She has an anxious attachment style, so she inherently feels insecure in relationships. You’d think that getting married would ease Magan’s anxiety, but she doesn’t see it that way.

Magan comes from a traditional family, and they haven’t been as accepting of her sexuality as she wants. On the one hand, getting married to Dayna would send a strong statement to her family and could force them to accept their relationship. On the other hand, Magan isn’t ready to jump into marriage. Is she reluctant because of her own insecurities, or is Dayna not the right person for her?

Ashley & Marita

Ashley And Marita Are In A Three-Year Relationship

Ashley Johnson (she/her) and Marita Prodger (she/her) matched on a dating app three years ago and have been in love ever since. At least, Ashley’s been in love. Marita hasn’t been giving the relationship the same attention, according to Ashley. In fact, Ashley has made a pretty serious accusation about Marita’s behavior:

“I am getting tired of her inconsistency in our relationship, along with the fact that she never chooses me and seeks feelings elsewhere with other people.”

Marita doesn’t think Ashley is the amazing partner she thinks she is. Marita knows her worth and refuses to settle for a partner who doesn’t treat her like a queen. She wants to be with someone who makes an effort to keep the passion of the relationship alive and feels Ashley hasn’t been making romance a priority. Ashley may be ready to get married, but Marita needs to see a big change in their relationship before she’ll say “I do.”
