There are several challenges in today’s puzzle, and the usual “easy” category is not actually the easiest one. To get some more hints before we give answers, check out the following tips:
- The “easy” category is about color
- One category is about utility
- One category is about software
- You should think about the last category in media terms
There are a few tricky words in these categories, and some of the options look like they belong elsewhere. Some look like they may not belong anywhere at all. If you still need a boost, check out the category names below:

None of these things are red all the time, and I take issue with that. I would have thought it would be slightly more connected than just a simple color, but that is not how today’s puzzle was constructed.
MARS is probably the thing that is red more than anything else for the longest amount of time, but it is also a candy bar that would go well with STRAWBERRY and milk from another category. There are a lot of ways to miss the mark here, but hopefully you figure it out before it makes you see red as well.

Things that RUN or OPERATE or FUNCTION are all things that are actively WORKing. This category was fairly easy to figure out today, but JOBS might be a word that messes with this category if you successfully guessed it right.
However, “jobs” does not feel like the same type of word and does not have the same vibe that the others in this category do. That makes it easier to pivot and get the right four words if that one messes with you.

The editor likely could not have predicted the Microsoft wave of disaster that happened recently that would make this category a little easier than it might have been. However, Microsoft products have inundated the lives of anyone stuck in front of a computer – yes, even Apple ones, so much so that this felt like the easiest category today. Seeing OFFICE and TEAMS with WINDOWS close by made it feel quite obvious. That, and the little EDGE icon at the bottom of the screen was another hint.

This one was a little tricky, particularly with some of the films being a little older. JOBS is probably the one most people know off the top of their head, with VICE being the other more recent film. However, with VICE having an R rating and the other two films being older, people might have a harder time with this category. However, if you do this one last, you will have a better time getting the win for this puzzle.
