CASK |
CYLINDER |
DRUM |
TANK |
This one could be a little tricky depending on what words you get stuck on. For instance, TANK could be put with JET or PILOT in a different category if you focus on the military side of things. However, if you look at CASK, you might think it goes with COWBOY or SALOON DOORS. If you look around at the rest of the words, however, you might see that CYLINDER and DRUM are similarly shaped things, and CASKS are a lot like both of them. The only other word that fits in that case is TANK.

PILOT |
SHEPHERD |
STEER |
USHER |
This is the category that uses words in a different way than you might expect. Three of these things can just be job titles, making them look like nouns. In this instance, COWBOY would fit in quite easily, which would make it hard to get the right four words. However, I noticed that SHEPHERD and USHER are both things that prod people or animals in the right direction. STEER made me realize that we were actually supposed to look at these as verbs, but I had to search for PILOT as it’s a bit of an odd word choice.

COWBOY |
JET |
RAM |
RAVEN |
This was the last category I got, partially because I kept thinking COWBOY and JET might belong somewhere else. When it got down to the last 8 words, I was not sure what the separation might be, but I ended up solving the other category first for other reasons. The football categories do tend to be my downfall, but I do recognize all the team names now that I know what they’re supposed to be. And despite my less enthusiastic attitude toward football, I am still a little sad that the RAMS left Saint Louis.

SWING |
When I saw PENDULUM and SWING I thought I might be on the right track. I added in SALOON DOORS pretty quickly as those are quite famous for their swinging capabilities. But it did take me a minute to add GOLFER in. It doesn’t look like it should belong here, but they do swing the golf club. I actually found it odd that SWING was in here when they used the same word in the category name, which usually doesn’t happen. Regardless, it let me finish the football category without having to think about it.
