We Live in Time crafts an emotional love story over the course of years. It tells the story of a couple named Tobias and Almut, who fall in love after an unexpected encounter leads them to meet. Audiences will see Almut and Tobias progress in their relationship over the course of years, when things eventually take a turn when Almut is diagnosed with cancer. We Live in Time features the strong dynamic duo of Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh.
We Live In Time comes from acclaimed director John Crowley. He has directed several films, but his most notable comes in the form of the well-reviewed Brooklyn, a Saorise Ronan-led drama that was released in 2015. With Brooklyn, Crowley demonstrated his propensity for gripping drama, strong female protagonists, and epic love stories. As Crowley attempts to mimic some of these elements with We Live in Time, the movie will soon be available to watch in theaters.

It Will Start With A Limited Release Followed By A Wide Release
We Live in Time will first be available in theaters on October 11. Its release will start out as a limited release, and then will expand throughout the United States in wider release starting on October 18. This release comes shortly after We Live In Time made its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. There, We Live in Time‘s reviews were fairly positive, boasting an 84% Rotten Tomatoes score at the time of writing. The main performances have generated Oscar buzz, which could increase as We Live In Time is seen by a wider audience.

When Will We Live In Time Release On Streaming?
The Film Has A Separate UK Release Date
A streaming release date has not been revealed for We Live in Time yet, but the film will be expected to release on Max when it does. The Warner Bros. entity has a streaming deal with A24, so the film distributor has typically used Max as the platform for their movies’ releases. Max will typically take at least a month or two to release their projects on streaming. With We Live In Time coming in theaters in October, it will probably be at least late November, if not December before We Live In Time hits streaming in the United States.
It is important to note, however, that We Live in Time also has a separate UK release date from StudioCanal. This date is January 1, 2025, a couple of months after We Live in Time starts its theatrical run in the United States. As a result, even if We Live in Time comes to streaming before the end of the year, it will likely do so only in the United States or at least excluding countries like the UK in order for it to get a successful theatrical run in those places.
When Will We Live In Time Release On Digital?
There is also not yet information as to when We Live In Time will be released on digital. The Oscar buzz surrounding We Live In Time could impact its streaming and digital release dates in either direction. On the one hand, A24 might want the film to get onto Max earlier so that more people can see the movie prior to awards season. On the other hand, the distributor might want the film to spend longer in theaters to amass buzz and box office revenue that way.
