At the same time, Kathleen and Shauna were able to hide their true selves behind seemingly innocent demeanors. Teenage Shauna’s true self was initially hidden behind being Jackie’s (Ella Purnell) overlooked and underappreciated best friend. Adult Shauna was able to hide behind seemingly being an average homemaker and suburban mother who did not pose any threat in Yellowjackets. To see Kathleen’s full story and other ways it compares to Shauna, audiences should watch The Last of Us season 1.
