One of Netflix’s most popular original shows in recent years is back, with The Night Agent season 2 now available on Netflix. Nearly two years have passed since the action thriller from Shawn Ryan debuted on the streamer, where it immediately became a massive hit. Gabriel Basso leads The Night Agent‘s cast as Peter Sutherland, an FBI agent stuck answering the phone for a hidden government agency known as Night Action. He then gets caught up in a wild international conspiracy involving some of the government’s top officials, as well as Rose Larkin (Luciane Buchanan), the niece of two dead Night Agents.
By The Night Agent season 1’s ending, Peter and Rose become fully interwoven into the government’s web of lies, with the President’s life on the line. Though Peter has plenty of experience and skills required to take charge of the newfound mission, Rose is left relying on her quick wits and hacking skills to work alongside Peter. Season 1’s conflict boils over at Camp David, but Peter and Rose successfully uncover the conspiracy and save the President. The last time we see Peter and Rose together, they are going their separate ways. However, a reunion is in store with The Night Agent‘s return.
